Grand Theft Auto VI: Extended Preview Tops Netflix’s Top 10 List
The Grand Theft Auto VI extended preview topped Netflix’s global English-language film chart for the week of August 24–30, garnering 31.1 million views in just four days. According to Netflix, the 27-minute extended gameplay preview accumulated 14 million hours of viewing time.

This achievement is all the more impressive considering GTA 6: Extended Preview was available exclusively on Netflix for the first six hours. While the gameplay video also premiered on YouTube that same day, it was made available to Netflix members first.

The crime thriller The Whisperer and the horror film The Last House ranked second and third, respectively, on Netflix’s English-language movie chart.

Following a series of leaks that exposed gameplay footage of Grand Theft Auto VI, Netflix released an “Extended Look” at the game on August 27. Rockstar described the leaks as “heartbreaking” for the development team.

The extended trailer officially released by Netflix features 27 minutes of raw GTA 6 gameplay footage without commentary. It showcases protagonists Jason and Lucia engaging in criminal activities, missions, heists, and more. The extended trailer also highlights various side activities in GTA 6, including basketball, kayaking, racing, diving, and BASE jumping.

The full trailer is now available on the Rockstar Games YouTube channel and the official GTA 6 website. Grand Theft Auto VI is set to launch on PS5 and Xbox Series S/X on November 19.
